The dog days of summer have been kissed by a cool breeze and a break in the humidity, largely in thanks to the bits of rain we have finally recieved.

The week after the retreat was relaxed. We had some great hostelers, including Linda Eberle, who donated a push plow, Robert Ross, a raw food author and David Southerland. David Southerland came down to discuss our invite to speak at the Bioneers South Eastern Forum, to be held in Atlanta October 20th. – 22nd. 2006. We are very excited to have this opportunity to reach out into the growing eco-consciousness in this country and the world.

Our appearance at this conference will follow the closing of the hostel for one week, closing on the 12th of October and re-opening on the night of the 19th October 2006.

Now turn that frown upside down kids, its for a good reason. We will be implementing a brand new eco-friendly gray water filteration system during that time. Stay tuned for more information and possible future workshops about sustainable water practices here at the hostel after the implementation of the system.
