Holidays are approaching swiftly, with so much happening here at the Hostel lately we almost forgot that it would soon be time to enjoy yet again another beautiful Hostel Thanksgiving Feast together. We’re more then excited to see what the Hostel guests will be bringing this year for our Pot Luck Dinner, anyone interested in partaking in the preparation of a dish for the dinner please feel free to call the Hostel and ask what items are still needed or just to let us know that you will be surprising us with one of your famous homemade Thanksgiving Dinner treats!

Saturday will be our monthly full moon sweat lodge, we encourage guests to come the night before, abstain from drinking alcohol the twenty four hours before and make sure to be drinking a lot of water. Prep for the sweat lodge starts about eleven the morning of, please come willing to participate and have a beautiful time. This will be the first guest sweat in our new sweat lodge after it being rebuilt. It is a bit smaller then the last lodge, and we are taking a smaller amount of participates in each lodge. So for those interested in our monthly lodges make sure to call earlier in the month to make the reservation.

This week we also say good bye to our current compost tech Stacey, and welcome the new changes in staff positions- Joey will dive hands first into the magical world of our favorite Hostel kitchen and Trey slides comfortably into the position of the new compost tech.

Kenny the Clown was here recently helping a great deal with gathering and chopping fire wood, his hard work will be remembered for quit some time while we are keeping ourselves warmed by the fire this winter.
