Well folks since we last updated we have had quite the time here at the Hostel.

Last Thursday night we were fortunate enough to be visiited by The Extraordinaires and Wes Mattheu and The New Way Down. Both stellar performers on their first national tour. The lively music kept us bound to the fire pit as their stories unfolded with wonder imagination and humor.

Last Friday Night brought us out to the newly renovated Mystic Oak/Miss Louis’es Porch to celebrate their presences here at the Hostel. We gathered around a fire and Bar-B-Q’d while Mikey told the Hostelers about Louise and the Porch

Our Saturday workshops allowed us to revisit one of the Hostel’s favorite subjects, fermentation. The Sourdough, and Kumboocha workshops went very well, and we are proud to announce our Kumboocha offspring have further spread. Thank you to Ken and Joey respectively for their knowledge on these subjects.

Sunday was followed up with an Herbology workshop in leu of our Kim Chi. Our dear Hostel friend TurtleDove was kind enough to teach us her home remedies and treatments, thanks again. We also welcomed our arrivals from the Arthur Morgan School/ in North Carolina. The Hostel is one stop among many for these students whom are taking two weeks to visit and learn from educational communities arund the south east.
