This week, manager Papillon DeBoer is stepping down, and handing over the reins to longterm hostel family member Ko’alani Porch. Poppy will be staying on another few weeks to complete several projects, and will be departing the forest mid-October. The Hostel will benefit greatly from Ko’alani’s experience and insight, and we are blessed to have her as the new womanager.

We have been preparing for the fall planting, and Christian and Erin from Gainesville helped harvest and began curing our sweet potatoes – some as large as babies! (It’s yet to be seen which is tastier.)

Also this week Hostel family member Lucinda Ramsey got married, and since we couldn’t attend, we did a blessing for her and her partner Frank in the labyrinth that night. Congratulations y’all!
