This week at the Hostel we have been blessed by the return of rain, filling the lake and ponds, cooling the August dog days with temperate mornings and evening. Its also been so wonderful having some previous staff members back in the house. Trey and Whitney have blessed us with their presence. We celebrated April’s birthday on Wednesday with wild antics. For the full-moon we enjoyed an impromptu meditation and yoga session in the glass house.

In garden news, we planted buckwheat as a cover crop in the Lake Garden and Zak came through and conducted some much needed garden maintenance. One of our favorite Polish chickens Tina Turner has been suffering from bumblefoot. We are all quite concerned so please send her your love and support.
