Weekly Update 4-28-2009
Posted April 29th, 2009
I’m writing this approximately five minutes after having released the dozen baby ducks we have into the wild. Well, they’re really teenagers at this point, and the wild really just includes the duck pond and wherever else they’ll traverse within the hostel. Details details details aside, they’re free, and let’s all hope they live long enough to see you when you come to visit.
We’re done with weddings for the month, and likely for the rest of the existence of the hostel. Now don’t get me wrong, weddings are beautiful, and being able to act as the hosts of the consecration of love is equally beautiful, and I know every single one of us on staff here had a wonderful time taking care of both Nikki and Jeremy and Jesse and Julie on their day of days. It’s a busy process though, and can potentially leave quite the lasting footprint on the hostel. As a result, we’ll be showing a little greater discretion in choosing what large group events to hold here.
Speaking of large group events, yoga retreat! There are four spots left, and we’d love to fill them up, so holla ’ atcho’ hostel.
The mosquitoes have calmed down quite a bit, and the nights are staying warm, the days getting consistently hotter. Summer is on its way, and we’re draining the pool this Thursday to acknowledge the looming season.\ May the Forest Be With YouThe Hostel Staff
