WORKSHOPS: Forest Skill Share Weekend, Hostel Staff
Join us at the Hostel for a Skill Share Weekend! All meals will be cooked outdoors using our Cobb Kitchen and main fire. (The electric stove will be powered off.) There will be palm frond tamales Friday night and cobb pizza Saturday. Learn how to use our rocket stoves, fire building, fire tending, fire safety and how to build a Swedish torch. Join us for a canoe 101 tutorial on the lake or a kombucha workshop and tasting. Explore the forest on our T-Trail to discover interesting micro climates, or accompany us on a Friday night walk after sunset to experience the magic of the woods that light up after dark. Do you have a skill to share? Let us know and we can add you to the list of options for a “choose your own adventure” weekend. We will host a “Passion Show” on Saturday night where anyone can sign up to sing a song, tell a story, read a poem or share whatever they are passionate about. Our weekend will lead us to “Power Down Sunday,” when we power down the Hostel, cook fresh tortillas over the fire and have a lovely brunch together. We have powered down the Hostel every Sunday for 3 years, and counting, to focus on conservation of electricity and outdoor cooking. After Sunday brunch we will host Dirt Church in the Solar Fields and give a little TLC to our beautiful garden.
September 30th - October 2nd, Friday-Sunday
RETREAT: The Nature of Self Mastery
Imagine being immersed in nature without the sounds of the city. This is a quiet, peaceful, healing environment to be at peace. Disconnect from what doesn't serve you, get centered in self, feel grateful, and free. The Hostel sits on 140 acres of forest. It features private open air treehouses to sleep in, geodesic domes, a yoga/meditation glass house with aerial silks, an open air art studio, a lake for swimming, and beautiful private outdoor showers.
Friday: Check in 3-4 PM, Walking Meditation Tour 4-5 PM, Connecting Meditation 6 PM (in the glass house), Organic Dinner Celebration (prepared by the chef), Inner Child Games. | Saturday: Sunrise Salutations (yoga), Tea Meditation, Intuitive Painting, Lake of Love, Qi Gong, Ecstatic Dance Celebration. | Sunday: Self Mastery Meditation, Group Joy Mastery, Inner Child Joy.
